Frequently Asked Questions About The TechTamers Affiliate Program
We pay on performance. So when someone you send to a TechTamer product buys that product using your affiliate link, you get credit for the sale. How much do I get paid? We offer a generous affiliate program - with a total payout of 50% on all of our digital products and 20% on our hard, lumpy products (you know - the ones who need to be manufactured and shipped!) You'll get 50% of the sale amount you referred, on digital products. So that's a total of 50% on digital products. On non-digital products, you'll receive a total of 20%. When do I get paid? We pay on the fifteenth of the month on the month following the month of the sale. Confused? For example, if you referred a sale in May, you would be paid for it on the fifteenth of July. Why the delay? If there is a product return, we'll need to adjust the amount due accordingly. How do I know I'll get credit for the sale? When someone clicks on your affiliate link, there is an invisible "cookie" put onto their computer. That cookie lasts for 3 years - or they delete their cookies from their browser. So when they come to a TechTamers site and buy with your cookie, you get credit for the sale - even if you haven't talked to them about that product or haven't emailed them in a while. It's like popcorn - sales just keep popping up! Do you get a lot of returns? No we don't, so that's generally not a problem. We do offer a guarantee on all of our products. And while our merchant account requires that we offer only 60 days - a common practice nowadays, we work well with the customers to ensure their satisfaction. Can I buy from my own affiliate link? No. Well, you can, but you won't be paid the commission. However, we try to offer a special affiliate-only discount when we first launch a new product. That way you can purchase the product to learn best how to use it. It helps you sell more, when you know and love the product yourself. So look for those special affiliate emails! What if I've never been an affiliate before? That's okay. We all had to start somewhere. Since TechTamers is dedicated to teaching you to be more successful online, we follow through with that purpose with our affiliate program as well. So we provide a carefully crafted course on how to make a good income from being an affiliate. Will you give me all the tools I need? Yes, but not necessarily in the form you expect. Many affiliate programs give you prepared ads and solo mailings for the product. However, they also tell you that you should not use these tools - so we decided not to tempt you with tools you shouldn't use. Likewise, most people find banners very ineffective. So we haven't designed any. But if you feel you need any of these tools, let us know and we'll be glad to create them for you. What we do provide are the real tools you need - at a substantial discount. So if we recommend an affiliate link cloaking program, we'll give you a discount.
